Dr. Ravi Gupta, a social entrepreneur, has been promoting innovations in various sectors for the development of society for two decades. He has achieved this through research, advocacy, conferences, publications, and workshops in several countries, including India, the UK, the USA, Tunisia, Geneva, Dubai, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand, among others.

In 1997, he co-founded the Centre for Science Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) and Geospatial Media & Communications in 1999.
Dr. Gupta served as the co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the monthly magazine on geospatial technologies, "GIS Development," from 1998 to 2008. He was also a Member of the Task Force on 'National Spatial Data Infrastructure' from 2001 to 2003, appointed by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
In the Netherlands, he worked as a Member of Research on National Geographic Information Policy Initiatives for several developed and developing countries in 2003.
In 2009, Dr. Gupta received the "Community Builder of the Year" Award presented by UN Solution Exchange India.
He served as a member of the UN GAID Strategy Council for two years (from 2009 to 2011). From 2010 to 2011, he held the position of Executive Director at the Global Knowledge Partnership Secretariat (GKPS). Additionally, he served as the Co-Chairman of the Education Committee at Ph.D. Chambers of Commerce from 2011 to 2012.
He has also been a member of the "Expert Group on Digital Economy Strategy for the Arab World" led by the Arab Federation for Digital Economy, League of Arab States.
Currently, Dr. Gupta is the Founder Publisher, CEO, and Editor-in-Chief of Elets Technomedia Pvt. Ltd., a media research and innovations advocacy organization that he co-founded in 2003. Since 2004, the company has been publishing premier monthly print magazines such as "eGOV," "digitalLEARNING," "eHEALTH," and in 2015, "The Banking and Finance Post" was added to the list. These publications focus on a variety of themes, including tourism, environment, housing, power, transport, waste management, digital learning, start-ups, smart cities, urban development, green building, secure IT, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Through Elets Technomedia, Dr. Gupta has conceptualized and organized several national and international conferences, such as eIndia, eAsia, and the World Education Summit, in different parts of the world.
